Job Description:

Fleet Operations Business Analyst - 6 Month Contract

Location - Hybrid, Foster City, CA

Duration - 6 Month Contract - potential for extension

Pay Rate - $22/Hour

The Fleet Operations Business Analyst plays a key role in evaluating the performance of the company's vehicle fleet and offering recommendations to enhance efficiency and profitability. This position oversees critical functions that drive fleet operations success, including administrative support for fleet and drivers, metrics and reporting, process design and improvement, research and analysis, and performance benchmarking.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversee fleet program services, including tolls, fuel, collision management, and violation reimbursement programs.
  • Manage the onboarding and offboarding of fleet drivers, field staff, campus-based employees, and third-party closeouts.
  • Apply analytical skills and financial expertise to gather, interpret, and report fleet operations data, identifying opportunities to optimize costs and efficiency.
  • Prepare and deliver detailed fleet performance reports, offering actionable recommendations for improvement.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain fleet policies and procedures.
  • Maintain accuracy within the fleet vendor database, conduct regular vehicle inventory audits, and ensure compliance with driver and secondary driver eligibility requirements.
  • Support the Fleet Manager in budget tracking and managing expenses related to fleet operations.
  • Build and maintain strong internal relationships while collaborating effectively across departments.

Responsibilities:

  • Proven experience as a business or operations analyst, or in a similar analytical role.
  • Knowledge of fleet operations and management is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
