Dunne Kozlowski, a full-service design firm with a talented team of architects, interior designers, branding experts, and procurement managers, is seeking a dynamic Project Manager. This role is vital in bridging our external and internal project management, ensuring the seamless execution of our design initiatives. Reporting to our Managing Director, the successful candidate will play a crucial role in shaping the operational excellence of our projects. We design experiences, and this role is accountable for delivering better for our clients.
Primary Responsibilities
Proactively lead our projects by collaborating internally with our design teams.
Develop a program based on client requirements and establish a comprehensive project budget, updating it as necessary.
Create and maintain the project schedule, ensuring updates at each project stage.
Organize project meetings, including scheduling, inviting participants, setting agendas, and distributing minutes.
Manage the bidding process, including developing contractor lists, bid packages, conducting pre-bid meetings, handling RFIs, reviewing bids, and awarding contracts.
Oversee the permit process by tracking the permit expeditor's progress.
Coordinate construction activities, including scheduling, processing submittals, directing RFIs, reviewing change orders and pay requests, and overseeing the punch list completion.
Qualifications
7-10 years of relevant experience in construction project management.
Demonstrated ability to be organized, detail-oriented, manage schedules, and think multiple steps ahead.
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to overcoming project challenges.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, project management software, and a working knowledge of Adobe Suite.
Excellent communication and team collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in both independent and team settings.
Schedule
This full-time (FT), hybrid role is based in Dunne Kozlowski's studio Chicago, IL. Mondays and Fridays are remote, and Tuesdays through Thursdays are in the studio in Humboldt Park.
