Role Overview
We're seeking a skilled senior estimator to drive accurate and competitive bidding for complex construction projects.
Key Responsibilities
Develop comprehensive and precise cost estimates for commercial construction projects
Analyze project plans, specifications, and blueprints to create detailed bid proposals
Conduct thorough quantity takeoffs and material quantity calculations
Research and evaluate subcontractor and vendor pricing
Utilize advanced estimating software and technology to streamline bidding processes
Collaborate with project management and business development teams to support strategic bidding
Maintain comprehensive cost databases and historical pricing information
Identify potential cost-saving opportunities and value engineering strategies
Qualifications
7-12+ years of commercial construction estimating experience
Proven track record of estimating projects >$10mm
Advanced proficiency in construction estimating software
Strong analytical and mathematical skills
Detailed understanding of construction materials, methods, and current market pricing
Ability to manage multiple complex bid proposals simultaneously
Bachelor's degree in construction management, engineering, or related field preferred
