The South-East Asia Center (SEAC) is seeking a full-time ECE Childcare Teacher for children ages 0-2. Job Duties:
Lead the classroom team in facilitating best practices in Early Childhood Education (ECE) on a daily basis.
Plan and implement small-group or whole-class educational activities during work hours.
Responsible for daily classroom clean-up, arrangement, and reorganization.
Assist with breakfast preparation as needed.
Collect anecdotal observations and enter Teaching Strategies GOLD data daily.
Welcome each and every child into the classroom with warmth and positivity.
Plan for parent engagement, partnerships, and participation in the school life of their child.
Read, understand, and adhere to CPS, IBoE, DCFS, ExceleRate Illinois, and SEAC standards.
Maintain a high level of professional responsibility and work quality.
Perform tasks and duties as assigned by your immediate supervisor.
Meet deadlines, such as finalizing TSG Checkpoints and submitting an accurate Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP) end-of-the-month report.
Actively participate in all-staff team meetings, trainings, and in-service workshops.
Adhere to the staff time and attendance recording policy and procedures daily.
Qualifications:
A Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE), Child Development, or a related field, OR a minimum of 30 semester credit hours with at least 15 hours in ECE or infant/toddler studies. An M.A. in ECE is preferred.
At least six months of professional caregiving or teaching experience with infants and toddlers is preferred.
