3Z Brands has an exciting opportunity for an innovative and dynamic Vice President (VP) of Merchandising Ecommerce to lead our eCommerce merchandising strategy at 3Z Brands, a forward-thinking mattress manufacturing company. In this senior leadership role, you will partner with our brand leadership to drive the vision, strategy, and execution of our product assortment and go-to-market approach, ensuring alignment with our broader business goals. You will work collaboratively across teams, bringing a combination of strategic foresight, consumer insights, and a deep understanding of digital commerce to ensure exceptional customer experience and sustainable growth. Your leadership will be critical in scaling our eCommerce business, meeting customer needs, and reinforcing our brand values of care, commitment, and curiosity.
Key Responsibilities:
Ecommerce Merchandising
Develop a diverse catalog of drop-ship relationships with suppliers to support our brands non-mattress category lines.
Partner with brand leadership teams to develop the mattress category roadmap leveraging our manufacturing capabilities and expertise.
Effectively communicate product development projects to cross-functional partners and senior leadership, ensuring they have the information needed to successfully bring product to market.
Continuously assess the competitive landscape and identify emerging eCommerce trends to inform product strategies and enhance digital performance.
Data-Driven Decision Making
Develop and report key performance metrics across brand assortments.
Proficiently analyze and summarize business results to develop data-driven insights and actionable takeaways.
Effectively scale winning strategy across multiple brands.
Vendor & Partner Management
Aggressively pursue potential new partners to drive innovation and product portfolio expansion.
Build strong relationships with key suppliers, vendors, and third-party partners to ensure timely and cost-effective product delivery.
Ensure partner success through strong internal communication and collaboration.
Key Competencies & Skills:
Proven leadership experience in eCommerce merchandising, ideally within a manufacturing or consumer goods environment.
Strong understanding of online retail dynamics, including product assortment, customer segmentation, digital marketing, and conversion optimization.
Data-driven mindset with the ability to analyze and act on large datasets to improve merchandising decisions and financial outcomes.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively across departments and influence stakeholders at all levels.
Strong negotiation skills and experience working with external partners and vendors.
Passion for continuous learning and staying ahead of industry trends, embracing innovation, and driving new ideas.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Merchandising, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
10+ years of experience in ecommerce merchandising, retail, or related fields, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
In-depth knowledge of ecommerce platforms, merchandising tools, and digital marketing strategies.
Experience working in a manufacturing environment or with direct-to-consumer business models is a plus.
