Summit Human Capital is seeking a Data Engineer to join a mission critical team within the federal space in Herndon, VA or Chantilly, VA. This person must have extensive experience designing and developing data systems within an AWS environment using python. The ideal candidate will meet the following criteria:
Requirements:
ACTIVE TS/SCI with Polygraph security clearance
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or similar discipline OR the equivalent education, technical training, and/or work/military experience
3+ years of software/data engineering experience
Extensive experience coding in Python
Experience working in an AWS environment as a data engineer working with enterprise ETL and databricks
Responsibilities:
Focus on continual process improvement with a proactive approach to problem solving
Design scalable reliable data pipelines using AWS services
Build ETL workflows to process structured and unstructured data, leveraging AWS services
Collaborate with other data engineers and architects implement and optimize data architectures supporting large-scale data processes
Ensure data governance policies are compliant, including data security, privacy, and access controls.
