Job Description:

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Fleet Coordinator to manage and optimize the transportation and logistics operations for one of our top clients. This role will be critical in ensuring the timely, safe, and efficient delivery of goods within our food and beverage manufacturing operations. The Fleet Coordinator will work closely with both internal teams and external partners to ensure that fleet management, scheduling, and compliance are executed to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Fleet Management:
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the company's fleet of delivery vehicles, ensuring optimal performance, safety, and compliance with regulations.
  • Coordinate regular maintenance, repairs, and inspections to keep the fleet in good working order and minimize downtime.
  • Track and maintain records for vehicle mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance schedules.

Logistics & Scheduling:
  • Schedule and coordinate deliveries to customers, vendors, and internal departments, ensuring timely and efficient transportation of goods.
  • Develop and optimize routing plans to minimize fuel costs and improve delivery times.
  • Track delivery performance and address any delays or issues promptly.

Compliance & Safety:
  • Ensure fleet operations comply with all relevant regulations, including DOT regulations, safety standards, and local traffic laws.
  • Monitor driver performance and adherence to safety protocols to minimize accidents and reduce liability.
  • Keep up-to-date with regulatory changes and adjust fleet operations accordingly.

Inventory & Fleet Records Management:
  • Maintain detailed records of fleet vehicle condition, service histories, insurance, and registration.
  • Monitor vehicle lifecycle and recommend timely vehicle replacements or upgrades.
  • Ensure accurate tracking of fuel usage, maintenance costs, and vehicle-related expenses.

Reporting & Analysis:
  • Generate and analyze fleet performance reports, including fuel efficiency, maintenance costs, delivery timeliness, and driver performance.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to improve fleet operations, reduce costs, and enhance efficiency.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent

Experience:
  • Administrative experience in maintenance transportation construction or combination of experience and education.
  • Knowledge of office procedures and basic bookkeeping procedures; data input.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, data management, and software systems.
