THE VENUE

SHACK15 occupies 51,000 sq ft of the third floor of the iconic Ferry Building in San Francisco. Featuring a café & bar run by award winning Scandinavian chefs, multiple social lounges, exquisite views of the bay, dedicated workspaces, private meeting rooms, phone booths, and curated cultural programming for your mind, body and soul.

THE ROLE

At SHACK15, the Memberships Manager will be responsible for the acquisition and retention of members in our community. The ideal candidate will have had sales and community building experience within other members' clubs or hospitality.

Responsibilities include growing membership base through proactive lead generation, gathering member feedback, ensuring consistently high-quality experiences at SHACK15 via community engagements and gatherings, and maintaining the unique vibe of SHACK15 throughout the day, with a special focus on evening programming and the social engagement of members.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for driving new membership admissions
  • Actively engage potential members through emails and in-person meetings to promote membership benefits and drive sales
  • Meet monthly and quarterly targets
  • Self-motivated and organized, maintain and manage lead pipeline - follow up on leads generated through community campaigns, referrals, and events.
  • Have a strong presence at SHACK15, serving as the face of the space for members. Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective members
  • Represent SHACK15 at events, and relevant networking opportunities
  • Oversee all new member onboarding to ensure all House Rules and benefits are well understood, regular quarterly check ins and feedback is gathered
  • Cultivate a welcoming and inclusive environment within SHACK15 for our members
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including management, marketing, and operations teams, to align membership initiatives with overall SHACK15 objectives
  • Provide regular reports, updates, and recommendations to senior management regarding community-building efforts, member engagement, and potential opportunities for improvement
  • Expected to work in-office 5 days/week, conducting presentations and tours of our facilities to showcase membership benefits and services

Qualifications and Requirements
  • Minimum of 5+ years experience working with luxury hospitality or Members Clubs with proven success managing sales activities and results
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Bachelor's degree or higher preferred
  • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and able to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Knowledge of membership growth strategies and retention
  • Energetic, flexible, personable, and a team player
  • Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate evening programming and social engagement
