Overview of Role:

Genius, Inc. is a Florida-based company/start-up founded by Robert W. Duggan who has achieved great success across multiple industries and disciplines spanning 50 years.

We are a small, but close-knit team based in Brickell Key Center - Miami, FL.

We are seeking an experienced Project Director and business manager with proven product development and marketing experience to lead our start-up in bringing tangible and digital products to a worldwide market.

Our mission is a humanitarian one focused on education and self-improvement. The ideal candidate will have experience with the development and marketing of educational content for young and old alike - print, digital, videos, online, books, and supplementary materials - and have experience in humanitarian-focused organizations and/or non-profits. We are seeking a minimum 6+ years of progressive experience with research and development and strategic leadership capabilities. Entrepreneurial experience is a big plus. Proven experience working with production development teams, prototype products, and mentoring a team. The Director will lead annual and long-term business and financial planning and will drive business innovation strategy.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the overall development and management of the company, developing and implementing innovative strategies to achieve viability, sustainability, and profitability. Additional responsibilities will include increasing revenue, managing a successful promotion and marketing campaign, driving the growth of the business, and full ownership of business and project cycles including but not limited to financial, legal, and technology. This role wears multiple hats with an emphasis on Project Management and works closely with Mr. Duggan's family office finance and operations managers. The position will be on-site and based in Brickell Key Center - Miami, FL, with occasional travel to Costa Rica and San Francisco, CA.

Responsibilities:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive business strategy aligned with company goals to grow profits and expand the customer base.
• Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success, including revenue growth and margin expansion.
• Develop and manage the company's budget, ensuring that it aligns with the company's goals and stated mission.
• Oversee the product lifecycle from ideation to launch, ensuring timely product releases.
• Manage all aspects of the company's operations, including product development, production, sales, marketing, and customer service.
• Develop, execute, lead, and manage marketing campaigns to promote the company's products and services, attract new customers and drive sales, reach our target market, increase brand awareness (including but not limited to social media initiatives on Instagram, YouTube, X, etc.), and development of promotional materials, including brochures, flyers, and other similar responsibilities.
• Stay up to date on market trends and competitor activities to ensure the company's products remain competitive.
• Develop, manage, and maintain relationships with third parties including but not limited to vendors and suppliers to ensure timely delivery of products, media outlets, influencers, and other partners.
• Ensure that the company's products and services meet the highest standards of quality.
• Establish and maintain effective communication with customers, vendors, and other stakeholders.
• Analyze customer feedback and market data to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Monitor, mentor, and evaluate the performance of the team, providing feedback and guidance as needed, and developing the next generation of Genius leaders.
• Report directly to the Founder, Chief Operating Officer, and Chief Financial/Investments Officer.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's degree in business management, marketing, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree is preferred.
• Minimum 6+ years of experience as a Project Director or Manager (or similar role), in product promotion, and marketing with demonstrable leadership experience.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and manage budgets and high-performing product teams.
• Excellent leadership and communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work both as an individual contributor and cross-functionally as part of a team.
• Ability to manage multiple, time-sensitive projects with competing priorities while working independently to drive projects to completion with executive guidance and high attention to detail.
• Knowledge of product development, production, sales, and customer service.
• Proficiency in MS Office, Google Suite, and other project management tools.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, organizational, analytical, and presentation skills.
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
