Founded in 1946 by some of Houston's oldest and finest families, the club provides a unique oasis in the bustling city.

Job Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Director of Facilities at The Forest Club. The Director will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of facilities operations, facility management, budgeting, and preventive maintenance on a day-to-day basis.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Supervises, coordinates and assists staff in the maintenance and repair of plumbing, A/C and heating, ice machine, swimming pools, lighting, kitchen equipment, refrigeration, laundry, server room, etc.
  • Ensures all maintenance and repairs are completed on a timely, cost-effective basis and according to specifications.
  • Orders necessary materials and tools for repairing equipment
  • Maintains an ongoing preventative maintenance program for the Club.
  • Responsible for the safety of the department and the building.
  • Ensures all fire and safety inspections are completed and any discrepancies are corrected.
  • Assists in checking fire protection systems for proper operation and training personnel in their use.
  • Schedules daily tasks including work orders for all areas of the club and its equipment.
  • Daily review of department timecards and make necessary adjustments for absences, missed punches etc. according to club policies and procedures.
  • Hires, trains, coaches and evaluates all maintenance staff
  • Controls key systems.
  • Maintains a log for all equipment repairs.
  • Supports event set up needs as scheduled
  • Makes cost estimates for budgeting/contract review purposes
  • Helps develop and maintain a plan which outlines short term and long-term requirements for repair and maintenance including capital replacements
  • Ensures Club is in compliance with all federal, state and local laws, including OSHA, EEOC, Wage-Hour and Health laws.
  • Perform all work-related duties as assigned by General Manager
