The Franklin, TN office of NWG is looking for a Medical Equipment Planner to join our team.

NWG is a Tennessee-based consulting firm that provides Program Management, Medical Equipment Planning, and Technology Planning for various healthcare clients throughout the US. Established in 2007, NWG has successfully completed medical equipment planning, purchasing, and installation for projects of all sizes. Our clients include rural hospitals, behavioral health, and major regional healthcare organizations. Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead all aspects of our Medical Equipment Planning service line
  • Grow the Healthcare practice: develop and maintain new and existing client relationships through a deep understanding of client enterprise and needs
  • Successfully plan, manage, and participate on multiple healthcare projects simultaneously
  • Identify and recruit exceptional resources
  • Have proven success in planning and developing new projects as well as the ability to motivate and inspire teams, both internally and externally
  • Lead client with recommendations and selection of medical equipment and related systems based upon service line
  • Effectively communicate equipment planning information to the project team to allow for successful project completion
  • Develop and coordinate all related deliverables including, but not limited to medical equipment reports and drawings, specification documents, vendor site specific drawings, and project schedules
  • Evaluate existing medical equipment and related systems with respect to age, condition, technological status to determine the potential for reuse
  • Confidently represent our company and deliver exceptional services to our clients

Additional Responsibilities:
  • Develop and maintain high level of deliverables and provide a professional customer interface
  • Interview and verify medical equipment requirements with the client and end users and make recommendations for "best practices"
  • Identify, evaluate, locate, and recommend equipment to purchase for new healthcare facilities, major renovations, and facility expansions
  • Attend off-site and remote client planning meetings and conduct virtual meetings
  • Identify and implement client standards during the planning effort
  • Develop and update budgets throughout the project lifecycle
  • Set daily priorities to meet established project deadlines
  • Review project drawings and coordinate equipment requirements on the plans
  • Establish communication network between the design team, the client team, and the construction team
  • Prepare purchase order ready documents for client use
  • Develop an equipment implementation strategy and schedule, and oversee the installation and start-up of all equipment
  • Obtain customer sign-off and approval of the selected medical equipment
  • Source medical equipment for quotes and compare pricing. Update budgets accordingly and manage the equipment procurement process
  • Establish clear responsibilities between the Medical Equipment Planning effort and the design and construction team by use of a detailed responsibility matrix
  • Provide ongoing communication with the construction teams throughout the lifecycle of construction
  • Work proactively with Group Purchasing Organizations
  • Have proven success in planning and developing new projects as well as the ability to motivate and inspire teams, both internally and externally

Our ideal candidate will be an experienced senior-level planner that is enthusiastic about leading a team of professionals to deliver exceptional results. We are seeking a leader that is a highly detailed-oriented, possesses strong analytical and critical thinking skills, enjoys working with healthcare delivery teams, and has excellent written and verbal communication skills. Additionally, a qualified candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in Medical Equipment Planning, preferably in a senior level role
  • A bachelor's degree in nursing, or healthcare related field
  • Medical Planning expert with a deep understand of the healthcare market
  • Great communication skills
  • In depth knowledge of the appropriate use and allocation of medical equipment for patient care
  • Experience working in a collaborative environment with design teams, consultants, clients
  • Familiarity with historical and current industry practices, trends, and innovation
  • Willingness to travel as needed
  • Exceptional presentation skills
  • Ability to utilize the Microsoft Office suite of technologies (Excel and Word primarily)
  • Ability to quickly learn and navigate new technology
