SWX Construction, a division of Steelworx Industrial Group, is expanding our CSA Team. We are committed to pairing seasoned leadership with industry-leading equipment to provide top-notch CSA services for industrial and commercial clients. Our expertise includes earthwork, storm sewer, site utilities, site concrete, structural concrete, insulated metal panels, structural steel, drains, doors, and more.

Job Summary:

SWX Construction is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager with proven expertise in commercial construction. The Senior Project Manager will oversee project planning, budgeting, scheduling, and execution while leading a team of 10-15 people. You will manage a diverse range of projects.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Pre-Construction Phase: Attend design meetings, evaluate materials and products for constructability, and assist in preparing estimates for conceptual, schematic, and design development stages.
  • Project Planning & Execution: Plan, organize, and direct activities for the construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, and systems.
  • Project Management: Establish project objectives, policies, procedures, and performance standards within corporate policy boundaries.
  • Scheduling & Budgeting: Schedule projects in logical steps, budget time required to meet deadlines, and manage labor requirements.
  • Contract Management: Prepare and negotiate contracts and revisions with architects, consultants, clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Financial Oversight: Prepare and submit budget estimates, track progress, and monitor costs.
  • Problem Solving: Resolve issues related to work procedures, complaints, and construction problems in collaboration with Project Superintendents, Project Managers, owners, contractors, and design professionals.
  • Business Development: Lead efforts in developing new business opportunities.

Education & Skill Requirements:
  • Education: 4-year construction management degree or equivalent.
  • Experience: 7-10 years of extensive experience in commercial construction and management.
  • Skills: Knowledge of construction techniques, tools, and principles; ability to manage a construction team of 10-15 people; excellent communication skills; proficiency in Microsoft Project, AIA Documentation, and other relevant software.

  • Capable of lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100 pounds occasionally.
  • Ability to work in hot or cold conditions, outdoors, and at high elevations.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle safely and efficiently.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record.
