PURCHASE YOUTH VILLAGE

JOB TITLE: Administrator

GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION

The Administrator is responsible for the oversight and overall operation of the facility, including the control, utilization, and conservation of its physical and financial assets. The Administrator serves as the direct supervisor of all Leadership and Senior Staff members, ensuring the facility adheres to all regulatory, ethical, and legal standards applicable to its service delivery.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES
  1. Ensures that sufficient, qualified, and appropriate staff are employed and trained to meet the needs of the persons served. Ensures all policies and procedures are followed consistently.
  2. Approves all purchases and payroll; make recommendations to regarding annual expenses and capital needs.
  3. With input from Leadership, staff, and other stakeholders, conducts Strategic Planning annually, a precursor to the financial budget and the long-term business plan of Purchase Youth Village.
  4. Advises the Executive Director of any matter impacting the facility's licensure, operations, or accreditation.
  5. Prepares reports necessary to assist in developing policies and procedures that ensure the capability of the facility to provide adequate and appropriate services to persons served and stakeholders.
  6. Maintains a written manual that defines policies and procedures and is reviewed annually and revised/updated as indicated.
  7. Actively participates and leads preparation for accreditation and regulatory surveys and involves Leadership in Continuous Quality Improvement.
  8. Promotes a positive and cooperative relationship with the community at large.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

Education

The Purchase Youth Village Administrator will hold a minimum of a Bachelor's in a human service field, including:
  1. Social Work
  2. Psychology
  3. Counseling
  4. Education
  5. Other human service-related fields related to working with families and children
  6. With a Bachelor's, minimum of four years of supervisory experience.

Preference is Master's Degree

With Master's, minimum of two years of supervisory experience.

KEY COMPETENCIES
  1. Sufficient computer skills to complete required reports to meet regulatory ad credentialing requirements.
  2. Ability to competently analyze risk management, performance improvement, clinical, financial, and other date to implement plans for improvement and take appropriate corrective action.
  3. Leadership Skills that promote a positive, productive, and competent work experience for all employees.
  4. Organizational skills that demonstrate ability to effectively orchestrate multiple tasks and responsibilities.
  5. Thirty-day notice required of Leadership members who resign.
