A dynamic and innovative global manufacturer is seeking a visionary Vice-President of Information Technology/CIO to join their executive leadership team. This pivotal role focuses on driving the company's technology strategy, managing transformative initiatives, and ensuring the seamless integration of IT systems across the organization. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in manufacturing and posses exceptional communication and project management skills. They will also be responsible for developing and implementing cutting-edge IT policies, negotiating with vendors, and fortifying cybersecurity measures.
Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Architecture: Ability to design and implement the IT framework that aligns with the organization's goals and strategies
Compliance and Risk Management: Expertise in ensuring that IT systems comply with regulations and managing risks associated with IT operations
Disaster Recovery Planning: Skills in developing and implementing plans to recover IT systems and data in case of a disaster
Emerging Technologies: Knowledge of current and emerging technologies and their potential impact on the organization
IT Service Management: Proficiency in managing IT services to meet the needs of the organization
Network Infrastructure: Understanding of network infrastructure and its role in supporting IT operations
Software Development Lifecycle: Familiarity with the processes involved in developing and maintaining software applications
User Experience (UX): Ability to design and improve the user experience of IT systems
Mobile Technologies: Knowledge of mobile technologies and their application in the organization
DevOps Practices: Experience with DevOps practices to improve collaboration and efficiency in IT operations
Artificial Intelligence (AI): Understanding of AI technologies and their potential applications in the organization.
Qualification
A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field.
At least 10 years of experience in IT, with a minimum of 3 years in a senior leadership position.
Demonstrated knowledge of IT and security laws and regulation.
Deep understanding of IT governance.
Familiarity with current and trending technologies and the ability to recognize the company's need for new technologies.
Ability to communicate complex technical information to wider audience.
