Job Description:

In this role, you will Lead and facilitate the successful implementation of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement (CI) strategies and initiatives with sustaining impact to drive business performance across the enterprise. This role is responsible for the creation and implementation of Lean Manufacturing strategy, department org structure, Lean Manufacturing training, implementation plans, and transformational process improvements across multiple sites and functions, focusing on safety, quality, delivery, cost, innovation, and growth.

The Lean Manufacturing Program Manager will lead Lean Manufacturing principles training (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping, Standard Work, Quick Changeover, Six Sigma, etc.) and drive process improvement results in automation and assembly creating efficiencies. This role will demonstrate effective leadership by driving strong engagement, positive employee relations, integrity, talent development, accountability, and driving quality, safety, and ergonomics without boundaries across the company.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Develop and execute a global Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma program to include but not limited to strategy, roadmap, training, and implementation plan.
  • Create and manage proposals for Lean implementation across Click Bond sites.
  • Define and manage Lean Practitioner/Specialist/Trainer Certification and Six Sigma training programs.
  • Develop and implement a Corporate Lean Index and other appropriate KPI's.
  • Lead and direct the Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma and Continuous improvement teams.
  • Set up and manage a support structure of the program and department assigned.
  • Ensure Lean Managers, Lean Specialist and all Practitioners are established and implementing Lean principles effectively.
  • Develop, conduct, and coordinate Lean Business Process Re-engineering (BPR), Continuous Improvement and Six Sigma training.
  • Lead training sessions on Lean Manufacturing (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping DMAIC, etc.).
  • Provide internal coaching to site leadership teams on CI system implementation.
  • Work with various company functions (Manufacturing, Quality, Finance, IT, Sales, Engineering, Maintenance, Procurement etc.) to improve processes through value stream mapping and goal setting.
  • Partner with manufacturing management and manufacturing engineering in creating the necessary BPR and Lean implementations.
  • Lead Kaizen events to drive productivity, quality, and cost reductions.
  • Develop best practices and associated training for regions and sites.
  • Explore new metrics to monitor progress in quality, velocity, and cost reductions.
  • Monitor and continuously improve Lean initiatives related to productivity and quality.

  • Report Global Lean Sigma Program status to the executive team.
  • Develop and deploy metrics for monitoring progress, including overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) and cost reduction opportunities.
  • Provide leadership and expertise in problem-solving and performance improvement.
  • Lead root cause analysis and implement corrective actions.
  • Develop new processes and programs to address gaps and improve performance.
  • Advise management on Lean project selection, integration of resources, and prioritization.
  • Confers with executives and management to implement plans and recommendations.
  • Identify and establish relationships with leading Lean companies and Consultants.
  • Maintain proficiency in the latest Lean approaches through networking and participation in Lean conferences and organizations.
  • Report immediately all suspicious and hazardous conditions to a supervisor.
  • Understand and observe all safety guidelines and assure quality and safety by complying with all appropriate Click Bond policies and procedures.
  • Assist in maintaining clean, orderly, and hazard-free work areas.
  • Able to work with minimal supervision, be a self-starter and be detail oriented.
  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate the following competencies:
  • Deep and demonstrated knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Industrial Engineering principles.
  • Knowledge of quality systems; preferred certifications such as Certified Quality Engineer.
  • Certified in Lean manufacturing.
  • Proficient in change management, project management, and financial tools.
  • Advanced skills in financial analysis and statistical control tools.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and write documents effectively.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Ability to write and read English.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
  • Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, manufacturing engineering, operations research, or a related discipline; equivalent years of experience can be considered in lieu of a college degree.
  • MS in Engineering or MBA preferred.
  • 10 years of work-related experience in manufacturing, manufacturing management, engineering management, or project management.
  • 5 years of experience in leading Lean manufacturing/Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement teams, programs, projects, and initiatives.
  • Experience leading CI initiatives, and mentoring individuals and/or project managers preferably in a manufacturing environment with Stamping, CNC, Automation, Injection Molding, Composites, Paint and Assembly operations.

LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS:
  • Lean Master/Specialist Certification required.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt certification required by recognized organizations (e.g., ASQ, SME). Six Sigma Black Belt preferred.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and coaching employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:
  • Work primarily performed in a standard office environment. If in manufacturing areas, may be exposed to noise, smells, heat, dust, etc. Work requires the observance of fire regulations and safe work practices.
