SPEC TECHNICIAN - Children's Sportswear at Cudlie Accessories in New York, New York

Job Description:

1. Knowledge of pattern-making, sewing, and garment construction
2. Experience working on a broad range of boys' and girls' sportswear silhouettes including tops, bottoms, dresses, overalls, sweaters, outerwear, headbands, hats, etc
3. An extensive knowledge of knit and woven fabrications in a variety of types and finishes
4. Intermediate-level knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Adobe Illustrator is required
5. Minimum of 5 years of direct experience with children's sportswear - specifically toddler and infant
6. Strong communication skills. Must be able to effectively communicate with makers via email
7. Must be able to work independently.

1. Working directly with the designer(s) on construction details that best suit the desired outcome.
2. Creating size specifications for children's sportswear from infants, to size 16
3. Evaluating and commenting on fit samples
4. Explaining and diagramming for factories how to make corrections to garment construction
