Position Overview
Our client is seeking a skilled Mechanical Project Manager with expertise in piping, mechanical ductwork, and HVAC controls to lead a major project. This role includes managing a $3M controls budget, requiring both technical know-how and strong project management abilities. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, handling complex mechanical systems and driving project success.
Key Responsibilities
Project Oversight: Manage the planning, execution, and completion of the HVAC controls project, ensuring adherence to budget and schedule.
Budget Management: Oversee a $3M controls budget, coordinating closely with team members and subcontractors to track progress and control expenses.
Supervision: Direct the installation of piping, ductwork, and HVAC controls, maintaining high-quality standards and project milestones.
Collaboration: Work with clients, vendors, and internal teams to meet project goals, addressing any challenges effectively.
Stakeholder Communication: Lead project meetings and provide regular updates on project status, schedules, and issues.
Safety & Quality Compliance: Enforce safety and quality standards across all project phases to ensure adherence.
The Ideal Candidate
Experience: Proven track record as a Mechanical Project Manager in HVAC, specifically with HVAC controls, piping, and ductwork.
Budget Management: Demonstrated ability to manage substantial budgets, particularly in the $3M+ range.
Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of HVAC systems and controls with hands-on experience in complex mechanical installations.
Skills: Exceptional organizational, leadership, and communication skills to effectively drive projects and coordinate with diverse teams.
Travel Flexibility: Willingness to travel to job sites as needed; per diem provided for days worked.
