Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Plastic Extrusion Line Manager to oversee our plastic extrusion processes. This position is key to ensuring the efficient, safe, and high-quality operation of our production lines. The successful candidate will lead a team, manage daily operations, and ensure our sustainable products are produced according to exacting quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee the setup, operation, and maintenance of plastic extrusion lines.
- Ensure all production targets and schedules are met with a focus on safety and quality.
- Lead, train, and supervise production staff, ensuring optimal performance and teamwork.
- Monitor production efficiency and implement continuous improvement strategies to reduce waste and increase output.
- Collaborate with the maintenance team to minimize downtime and address technical issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols in all production areas.
- Maintain detailed records of production data, including output, quality control results, and downtime.
- Implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining product quality.
- Work closely with the quality assurance team to troubleshoot and resolve product defects or issues.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience managing plastic extrusion lines or similar manufacturing processes.
- Strong understanding of extrusion equipment, tools, and techniques.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to identifying and addressing production issues.
- Familiarity with safety regulations and quality control standards in a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic production environment.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
Education & Experience:
- High School Diploma or GED required; technical degree or certification in plastic processing or manufacturing preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in plastic extrusion manufacturing, with 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial role.
