Summary/Objective

The Senior Product Manager has overall responsibility for a portfolio of general dentistry products and leads the business strategy and growth for this product line in the U.S. This is a critical role in shaping our U.S. general dentistry market position in collaboration with the top management team. Essential Functions

  • Create product roadmaps to drive the overall business
  • Develop and execute product launch plans, pre and post launch.
  • Compile market-requirement documents for product offerings by analyzing trends
  • Ensure new products meet the prioritized clinical, operational, and financial needs of customers
  • Manage commercialization of newly developed products by leading speed to market activities, developing marketing collateral and promotional strategies, as well as training the sales force
  • Develop and execute annual marketing plans, sales promotions, and pricing strategies
  • Forecast product inventory and monitor demand
  • Review complaints and suggestions relative to assigned product(s)
  • Supervise market research
  • Develop business case presentations for potential new products
  • Participate in trade shows and sales activities
  • Work with and support Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) when appropriate and build up a network of KOLs
  • In conjunction with the corporate trainer, assist in developing and executing product training
  • Assess market trends, and competitive landscape to inform strategic planning process
  • Perform market research
  • Maintain consistent communication with our German headquarters
  • Collaborate in global initiatives with other countries
  • Mentor other product managers as needed
  • Other duties as assigned

The hands-on, detail-oriented Sr. PM must manage multiple projects. This individual must have strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills and have an ability to manage through ambiguity. The Sr. PM will be a team player who can exercise independent judgment in situations that require urgency, when needed.

Qualifications/Skills
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills
  • Self-motivated, self-starter
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Windows
  • Experience in both upstream and downstream marketing
  • Experience working with international partners
  • Experience developing and successfully executing marketing strategies
  • Experience in strategic product-development and volume and market-share growth tactics
  • Demonstrated success in developing relationships with colleagues, customers, and industry KOLs
  • Strong organizational skills, independence, and a positive attitude
  • Financial analysis and forecasting skills
  • Experience with online marketing practices
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills

Education/Experience Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering or related field; MBA is a plus
  • Minimum 5-7 years relevant product management experience preferred
  • Dental Equipment experience highly preferred. Medical Device or Healthcare Products background might be considered.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time, salaried position: work schedule is hybrid of 2-3 days to be at the office/remaining work from home, with additional office days if needed.

Travel
  • 25% travel required. Travel requirements will vary, and may comprise visits with KOLs, co-riding with sales-team members, and attendance at dental conferences or meetings. Weekend and international travel may be required.
