Job Description:
Seeking an experienced Project Superintendent to lead complex construction projects, serving as the critical on-site leader responsible for project execution, safety, and overall field performance. Ideal candidate will manage projects ranging from $5M to $15M with exceptional leadership and technical expertise.
Qualifications:
Experience: Proven track record in construction management
Project Capacity: Capable of leading projects valued between $5M - $15M
Education:
Undergraduate degree in Construction Management, Construction Engineering, or related field
Equivalent work experience and demonstrated construction trade competency
Required Certifications:
OSHA 30-Hour Certification
Stormwater Management Certification (region-specific)
USACE CQM Certification
Core Responsibilities: Safety Leadership:
Serve as the primary safety leader on the jobsite
Implement and enforce comprehensive safety plans
Conduct periodic safety walks and mentoring
Ensure 100% compliance with safety protocols
Proactively prioritize safety in all project aspects
Document and address safety violations
Foster a safety-first team culture
Quality Assurance:
Ensure full compliance with contract documents and specifications
Maintain comprehensive project documentation
Lead weekly coordination meetings
Conduct thorough walk-through inspections
Mentor field staff in quality work planning
Project Management:
Drive project scheduling and productivity
Develop and update daily/weekly/monthly project schedules
Implement comprehensive CPM scheduling
Establish "Play of the Day" operational processes
Manage field execution and site logistics
Coordinate subcontractor activities
Resolve field problems proactively
Cost Control:
Steward project budgets with strategic financial management
Analyze cost data and monitor project financial performance
Understand production rates and their impact on cost and schedule
Manage field material procurement
Participate in cost projection activities
Focus on production improvements to optimize profitability
Contract Administration:
Thoroughly understand all project documentation
Evaluate contract changes and their project impacts
Assist in subcontract scope development
Ensure compliance with contract requirements
Support warranty efforts
People Development:
Provide direct management and oversight of field staff
Conduct performance evaluations
Offer training and career development support
Foster constructive professional relationships
