JSG is hiring a Government Contract Buyer for our client in Santa Clarita, CA. 100% onsite - US Citizen
Summary of Job Scope:
3-5 years+ of previous purchasing, experience within an aerospace, defense and/or government environment.
Knowledge of ITAR and EAR requirements is a plus.
Understanding of Government contracting, including FAR, DFAR and other government regulations is required.
Must have strong Cost/Price analysis skills.
Will execute competitive and non-competitive procurements.
Contact suppliers regarding parts and materials orders and schedules are met.
Track delivery dates and order status in SAP and Excel (SAP experience is a plus).
Interact with the internal supply chain team regarding issues with production schedules and deliveries.
Plan, schedule, release and manage purchase orders and work orders.
Solid knowledge of Manufacturing Resource Planning (MRPII) is preferred.
Resolve invoice issues, implement engineering changes, and coordinate purchase orders.
Good verbal and written communication skill.
High level of detail orientation and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects at the same time.
Strong Microsoft Office Suite skills, including MS Word and Excel.
Education:
2 or 4 year degree is a plus.
APICS and CPSM/CPM Certification is preferred.
