The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for supporting day to day project management, field operations and accounting teams across multiple construction projects. The role is critical for maintaining accurate and timely information and involves collaborative work from project initiation to completion.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assists in project planning and implementation, ensuring projects adhere to established guidelines through daily interactions with internal and external stakeholders.
Coordinates project schedules, assisting with tracking and reporting for effective management.
Under the direction of the Project Manager, completes project invoicing preparation.
Participates in bid solicitation, estimating and proposal processes including assists in evaluating bids and takeoffs.
Attends site visits, conducting follow-ups and creates Scope of Work documents.
Creates agenda and may lead meetings with project team, owners, architects, and/or contractors.
Reviews, consults, and responds to Requests for Information and Submittals, ensuring timely responses and documentation.
Generates and approves subcontracts, purchase orders and change orders, maintaining project financial accuracy.
Contributes to project close-out processes, creating essential internal and external documents.
Supporting value engineering efforts to optimize project costs and efficiency.
Mentors and assists with guiding work of Project Coordinator.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Necessary Experience and Qualifications
Must-Have Qualifications:
Associate degree in a related degree.
Two years construction related work experience.
Familiarity with basic construction methods and software tools.
Proficiency in MS Office, PDF editing, and scheduling software.
Demonstrates effective written and verbal communication skills, fostering clear understanding and collaboration with various stakeholders.

Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or related degree.
Commercial construction field experience.
Demonstrated financial acumen.
Experience with specific software like Adobe/Bluebeam and Procore.
Any combination of necessary experience and qualifications which provides desired knowledge, skills, and abilities.
Other Position Requirements
Must possess a valid driver's license.
Must maintain client compliance requirements.
Must be available to work out of state, nights, weekends and/or extended hours based on project demands.
Role involves both office and field environments, requiring adaptability to varied work settings.
