McCafferty Brinson Consulting, LLC (MBC) is looking for a full-time CAD Designer, with 0 to 4 years of relevant work experience, based in our Fort Lauderdale office. This position entails engineering design and drafting services related to potable water, reclaimed water, and wastewater treatment plants. Projects will have a focus on treatment process optimization, pumping and transmission systems, utility infrastructure, treatment plant hydraulics, permitting compliance, and funding assistance.
Typical Day: Duties entail in-office activities including but not limited to:
Preparation of detailed drawings, diagrams, and figures using Plant 3D, Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM Collaborate Pro software.
Design management support (i.e. maintain organized records of drawings and background documentation).
Revise and update work based on internal team mark-ups and client feedback.
Participation in internal team and client meetings regarding the progress of work.
Assist with business development and proposal efforts.
Work closely with Professional Engineers and Project Managers.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience:
Experience with Plant 3D, Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM Collaborate Pro.
Diploma and Certificate
0 to 4 years of relevant work experience.
Interest in water and wastewater utility systems design and construction.
Interpersonal Skills:
Strong written and oral communication skills.
