Responsibilities
Assessing damage to vehicles involved in accidents, including reviewing repair estimates and determining the cost of repairs.
Investigating automobile accidents to determine the cause and liability, including reviewing police reports and conducting interviews with witnesses.
Analyzing insurance policies and relevant laws and regulations to determine the scope of coverage related to automobile accidents.
Negotiating repair and total loss settlements with claimants and their attorneys, including conducting settlement conferences and mediations.
Coordinating with medical professionals and other stakeholders to manage medical treatment and expenses related to automobile accidents.
Providing regular updates on automobile claims to policyholders and other members of the claims team.
Coordinating with internal and external stakeholders, such as claims adjusters, attorneys and clients, to ensure that all activities related to automobile claims are conducted efficiently and effectively.
Participating in departmental meetings and training sessions to stay informed about policy changes and new procedures.
Maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail to ensure that all activities related to automobile claims are conducted ethically and in compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Qualifications we seek in you!
Minimum Qualifications
Relevant years of Material Damage Liability Claims handling with multi-state experience
College Diploma or commensurate work experience
Maintain adjuster license (s) as required by state regulations.
Experience handling exposures up to and exceeding $250,000.
Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Preferred Qualifications
Bilingual
Insurance Designation(s)
Lean Six Sigma Certification(s)
