The Learning Designer will develop and implement strategies to train, develop, and communicate with our store teams. This work will span across onboarding & ongoing functional learning, remaining agile across priorities. This position will intake training requests from stakeholders in our corporate office and consult on the most effective ways to train and communicate the information to our store teams. This role requires in-office days at our Franklin office as well as regular travel to our stores to support program development and implementation.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Design and develop learning programs that align with organizational goals and training needs
Create engaging learning materials that enhance knowledge transfer and retention, including but not limited to job aids, interactive online courses, assessments, videos, instructor-led training, simulations, role-play scenarios, and learning games
Visit stores to understand training and communications needs, support the implementation of new programs, and assess effectiveness
Pull weekly reporting on training completions and program engagement
Help organize store files and resources on our company intranet
QUALIFICATIONS
Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written skills
An eye for design and an interest in photography, video editing, and illustration
An understanding of adult education theory and the concept of ADDIE
Servant leader who loves to be in our stores
Essential competencies include customer focus, action orientation, managing ambiguity, nimble learning, and balancing stakeholders
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
2+ year's experience as a District Trainer, Training Store Manager, or Instructional Designer
Bachelor's degree in education, public relations, HR, or graphic design preferred
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, Illustrator, Audition), Articulate, Learning Management Systems such as Cornerstone or RTO, Intranet site management such as SharePoint or Interact, Website development software preferred
