We have a fantastic career opportunity to join a leading Real Estate and Land Development Company based in Florida as a Director of Land Construction.
Our client's impactful place-making and revitalizations across the state of Florida via master-planned vibrant mixed-use communities strategically incorporate a variety of residential, commercial, and highly amenitized elements and synergies within their award-winning developments.
This key civil site land construction professional and leader can be located out of the Jacksonville or Orlando market and will have a heavy civil construction focus and priority to:
Manage all aspects of civil construction projects in Jacksonville and central Florida.
Provide and manage construction budgets, cashflows and schedules.
Manage CDD RFP/bid solicitation for contractor selection, including overseeing contract preparation and providing a thorough cost & schedule analysis with CDD team.
Review plans during design/permitting for constructability and provide cost/time saving suggestions. Obtain bids/cost estimates using progress plan sets.
Coordinate bonding, temporary construction easements, owner direct purchase and assist with platting.

Additional qualifications:
Degree in civil engineering, planning, landscape architecture, construction management, real estate or related preferred.
The ideal candidate will have 5 to 10+ years of site civil horizontal land construction / development management experience.
Must be able to read and interpret grading plans, blueprints, civil plans, landscape plans, etc.
Ability to plan, organize, manage, and supervise activities.
Good written and verbal skills, detail oriented with good follow-up and follow-thru skills, good people skills and problem-solving skills are required.
Ability to take initiative, be a self-starter, and advocate for projects.
Must be analytical, a strong communicator, have a sense of urgency and an ability to. communicate with various internal and external stakeholders and community members.
