The Sr. Material Planner will oversee the planning, scheduling, and management of materials to ensure production needs are met and inventory levels align with overall targets. This role focuses on ensuring the timely availability of cost-effective, high-quality materials to support consistent production and on-time delivery. Additionally, the Sr. Material Planner will design and implement processes that ensure high levels of inventory accuracy within the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Management: Monitor and maintain material levels to meet production demands while adhering to overall inventory targets.
Material Planning: Analyze demand forecasts, sales trends, and historical data to determine raw material requirements.
Supplier Relations: Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers, addressing any supply chain challenges promptly.
Negotiate terms with suppliers to optimize material costs without compromising quality.
Purchasing and Delivery Monitoring:
Oversee purchasing activities and monitor delivery timelines, proactively addressing any delays or potential disruptions to production schedules.
ERP System Management: Ensure the timely receipt of raw materials and maintain accurate data within ERP tools, including managing vendor lead times.
Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement in material planning and inventory management processes and implement strategies for optimization.
Reporting and Metrics: Generate and review detailed inventory status reports, highlighting potential shortages, overstock situations, and inventory trends.
Additional Responsibilities:

Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Material Planner, Supply Chain Analyst, or in a similar role within a production or manufacturing environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage time effectively.
In-depth knowledge of material requirements planning (MRP) and inventory control processes.
Proficient in using enterprise resource planning (ERP) tools and software.
