The Project Manager reports to the VP of Project Management and is responsible for multiple commercial and industrial projects happening onsite at Crown Enterprises. These responsibilities include the new builds, renovations, and green field projects.

What does the Project Manager do?
About 80% travel to job sites across the United States (travel expenses covered by company)
Provide overall administrative and technical direction for multiple high profile projects.
Responsibilities to include customer interface, client development, project scoping, estimating, scheduling, procurement, construction oversight, safety oversight, cost and progress monitoring, management and reporting
Oversee total construction effort to ensure project is constructed in accordance within budget and schedule
Includes interfacing with ownership, executive management, A/E representatives, and subcontractors.
Establish project objectives, policies, procedures and performance standards within boundaries of corporate policy
Plan, coordinate and/or supervise activities of all company personnel on assigned project(s)
Monitor/control construction through administrative direction of on-site Superintendent.
Authorize/approve all purchase requisitions and change requests after meeting with ownership and executive management.
Maintain official project log and documentation files
Assist with implementation/interpretation of safety programs
Provide direction to planning, scheduling, and engineering functions as required
Manage financial aspects of contracts (fee payment, rental equipment, income/expenses, etc.) to protect company's interest and simultaneously maintain good relationship with Client
Assume additional responsibilities as directed by ownership and executive management
Preferred Qualifications:
Four year construction management /engineering degree or equivalent professional training and experience
Entry level experience and knowledge of commercial or industrial construction activities, design, finance, and management required
Must be able to apply innovative and effective management techniques to maximize employee performance
Thorough understanding of corporate and industry practices, processes, and standards.
Must be a business-oriented professional
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of WINDOWS (basic applications), Microsoft Office Suite, Computer Automated Design (CAD) and scheduling software systems.
Extensive knowledge of local, state, and federal building codes, familiarity with permitting, and subcontractor relationships.
Strong track record of accomplishments within commercial and industrial construction.
Working Conditions:
Able to work extended hours as needed - 50+ hours.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to communicate with employees and other individuals as well as function safely within an office environment and, on occasion, may visit construction locations
