Job Description:

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Business Development Director to drive growth for a cutting-edge quantum computing company. This is a hands-on role where you will personally execute all aspects of the business development process to drive sustainable financial growth through increased sales and strong client relationships.

The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, exceptional sales expertise, and a proven ability to close high-value deals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a strategic business development plan to expand clientele and revenue streams.
  • Identify and engage potential customers and partners, fostering strong and lasting relationships.
  • Lead end-to-end deal processes for high-value opportunities, including analyzing requirements, financials, and technical compatibility.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements while ensuring seamless integration with operations.
  • Build credibility with clients by engaging in technical discussions, including with C-suite executives, and demonstrating a deep understanding of product capabilities.
  • Manage a sales pipeline with high-dollar deals, including opportunities in the tens of millions.
  • Expand the company's global presence by targeting and securing international clients.

Requirements:
  • Technical Bachelor's degree required; a Master's degree is a plus.
  • 10+ years of experience in business development or sales, ideally at the director level.
  • Experience working with government stakeholders is a plus.
  • Hardware-based sales expertise; software sales backgrounds will not be considered.
  • Proven success managing high-value, complex deals from initial contact through closure.
  • Exceptional ability to build relationships and credibility with clients, including global stakeholders and high-level executives.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and collaboration skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a dynamic environment.
  • Technical expertise in quantum computing or a related high-tech hardware field is highly preferred, with the ability to learn and integrate additional technical competencies.

Details:
  • Location: Preference for candidates based in Colorado, with up to 50% travel required; remote work may be considered for highly qualified candidates.
  • Compensation: $150,000 - $200,000 base salary with bonus potential and equity options
