The Classified Windows Systems Administrator will demonstrate expert level hands-on knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory and VMware vSphere while supporting the Laboratory's enterprise classified computing infrastructure. This position will be part of a team that is responsible for maintaining the team's Windows imaging platform as well as its Windows software deployment infrastructure. This individual will be expected to stay current on these technologies, be engaged with Laboratory staff and make recommendations to enhance these services.
As part of this role, the individual will need to demonstrate proficiency with the underlying processes and components that support these technologies. These would include but are not limited to DNS, DHCP, NPS, group policies, WSUS, VMware distributed switching and creating VM templates. The ideal candidate will also possess advanced knowledge of Powershell, PowerCLI, STIGs (full and benchmark),DISA's SCC Tool and STIG Viewer and how to evaluate systems for STIG compliance.
Candidates with a background in VMware vSAN, NetApp and/or Solarwinds will be given preference.

Required Minimum • Possess and maintain expert technical depth with the following technologies:

oActive Directory • Windows Patch Management • Strong understanding of VMware infrastructure (vCenter, ESXi, vSAN, etc.) • Strong overall network skills (e.g. routing, switching and TCP/IP protocol) • Hardware: Intel/AMD, Cisco, Sun/Oracle, Dell, Apple, EMC, NetApp • System Administration • Technologies including DNS, DHCP, Proxy and Load Balancing • Virtualization Technologies to include VM management, Snapshots, SANs and iSCSI Storage Systems • Security+ certification or the ability to obtain within 6 months of employment • Demonstrate the ability to learn new technologies and disciplines quickly • Ability to work independently toward delivery of goals as well as collaborate in team efforts • Excellent customer service skills • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred • Network Experience (e.g. routing, switching and TCP/IP protocol) • VMware vSAN • NetApp • Solarwinds • Microsoft certifications • Powershell, Ansible or other scripting languages • Familiar with maintaining STIG compliance • SIEM tools (Splunk, SolarWinds, OpenNMS, Nagios) • Experience supporting cloud infrastructure. Preferably in classified environments but public domain experience is also beneficial • Experience with the Command Cyber Readiness Inspection (CCRI) process and maintaining an inspection ready environment. • Bachelor's of Computer Science or relevant technical field of study
