SNC seeks an experienced and highly qualified Director, Enterprise Architecture who will provide strategic leadership for the ongoing technical transformation and architecture of the company's IT portfolio. The Director, Enterprise Architecture will establish a vision for the function and support strategic planning activities that will influence the direction of the IT organization, continually enhances the health of the IT landscape, and fulfill business objectives.
Reporting to the Sr. Vice President of Information Technology, and a key member of the IT leadership team, the Director, Enterprise Architecture will be responsible for the health and effectiveness of key architecture processes such as standards management, life cycle management and architecture governance. The success candidate will drive the strategy of IT architecture, technology strategy and governance of technology selection as well as delivery across SNC's business and functional area applications, platforms and technology services.
The Director, Enterprise Architecture will play a critical role in modernizing SNC's technology portfolio to drive an improved experience for our customers and employees. In addition, the Director, Enterprise Architecture will serve as the subject matter expert for enterprise architecture processes, tools and technology, and will provide strategic consulting in the areas of external trends, architectural best practices and adherence to standards.
As SNC's corporate team, we provide the company and its business areas with strategic direction and business support spanning executive management, finance and accounting, operations, human resources, legal, IT, information security, facilities, marketing, and communications.
Responsibilities Include:
Collaborate with technology and business stakeholders inside and outside of IT to develop an enterprise Architecture vision and strategy that is aligned with SNC's business and technology transformation objectives
Chair the architecture review board which is responsible for ensuring effective and efficient use of IT resources and assets, and architecture and portfolio decisions that enable the long-term business strategy
Partner with business and IT leaders to ensure that architecture road maps continually align with business objectives
Turn business strategy into systems design by developing an architecture framework that enables adaptability, scalability, security, availability, and re-use
Manage and mentor a highly technical team responsible for the creation, implementation and maintenance of architectural strategies and road maps
Direct the development and documentation of the strategy linking SNC's application, data, solution, digital and technical architectures
Maintain a full understanding of all SNC's technology implementations and integrations with external service providers
Provide strategic leadership and change management in addressing the gap between enterprise architecture strategy and the IT organization's readiness to adopt
Identify emerging technologies to help drive solutions that increase business value
Consolidate expenditure by reducing duplication and redundancy across capabilities
Must Haves:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science or a related field of study
Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of required education
Previous experience as an IT executive - Director, Sr Director or Vice President; Industry experience preferred
10 years as an enterprise architecture leader, developing architecture strategy and roadmaps, and leading a team of architects
15 years of progressively responsible IT experience and leadership roles, including IT strategy, integration management and application development
Deep familiarity with TOGAF, DODAF, FEAF, NIST and/or similar architecture frameworks
Effective partnerships with key IT and business leaders and teams
Track record of effective recruiting, management, coaching and development of high performing multidisciplinary teams
Mastery of the ability to drive innovative thinking, lead and inspire your team, instill collaboration, challenge status quo, manage complex situations, delegate authority, and demonstrate ability to adapt to dynamic situations
Proven experience and skills in team building, time management, conflict resolution, communication, briefing, presentation, and strategic thinking
Strong communication skills, including the ability to clearly express technical concepts in verbal and written forms; ability to interpret technical requirements
Ability to navigate change and uncertainty, make defensible decisions in ambiguity and own those decisions
The ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required
Preferred:
Master's Degree in Enterprise Architecture or related subject area
Visible leadership skills and executive presence; track record of motivating individuals and teams to achieve program and project objectives
Strong business awareness, a sound understanding of key business processes (e.g., order to cash, purchase to pay) and the way they impact business performance
Expertise in current and emerging technologies, and their potential business impact
Estimated Starting Salary Range: $186,100.35 - $255,887.98. SNC considers several factors when extending job offers, including but not limited to candidates' key skills, relevant work experience, and education/training/certifications.
SNC offers annual incentive pay based upon performance that is commensurate with the level of the position.
