Job Summary:

A Project Manager at Switch Electric plays a pivotal role in overseeing and delivering projects from preconstruction to completion. While specific duties can vary depending on the project's complexity, common responsibilities include:

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop a strong project team to meet customer expectations, manage scope, and deliver on schedule. Mentor and manage a team of 3-10 direct reports.
  • Drive profitability through effective project execution.
  • Work closely with the Project Superintendent to develop project plans to meet schedule milestones.
  • Review and manage the contractual requirements of the project.
  • Communicate regularly with customers on all aspects of the scope.
  • Create and present potential change orders (PCOs) to the customer.
  • Create and manage the project budget.
  • Initiate submission of the schedule of values (SOVs) each month.
  • Lead procurement of lot materials and third-tier subcontractors.
  • Promote and enforce safety standards on the project site. Conduct risk assessments as needed.
  • Ensure all work meets required standards and codes compliances. Work closely with the Quality Assurance/Quality Control team throughout construction and commissioning.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of proven project management experience in the electrical construction industry or other related experience
  • Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Construction Management, or related field (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, codes, and regulations.
  • PMP or relevant project management certification (desired).
  • Data Center construction experience preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Microsoft 365, Accubid,and Bluebeam)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Commitment to safety and quality.
