AZPetVet is seeking a Business Operations Analyst to join our team as we head into hyper-growth. We are a scaling family of animal hospitals with locations in Phoenix, AZ, with big plans! In 1984, the first practice (Arrow Animal Hospital) opened in the Glendale area. Today, that practice has grown to a family of 22 collaborative hospitals built upon the principle of outstanding patient care and client service.

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Operations Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will is a general athlete who is energized about figuring out to improve efficiency and drive increased productivity across a range of business situations.

This role will work cross-functionally, partnering with Operations, Marketing, Finance, and others. The role will be project-based. Potential projects could include:

  • Schedule Optimization - how can we optimize our schedule structure and process to fit in more patients, and skew our mix toward high value clients? Should we block appointments by type? By client type? What are our best performing hospitals doing that we can scale across our network?

  • Scale surgery & dental offerings - this is our most lucrative service line. How can we re-imagine the end-to-end operating model to maximize profitability (e.g. need identification, schedule priority, surgery types offered by DVM, pricing, referrals, etc.)

  • Marketing performance analytics - Which marketing channels are driving the highest ROI? What initiatives / campaigns are working vs not? How should we change our marketing spend allocation?

  • Observe hospital processes and flow to document existing processes and brainstorm initiatives that could create efficiency improvements.

A successful candidate will have a generalist background and 'jack of all trades' mentality given the wide scope of projects encompassed by this role. We are looking for a highly analytical and strategic thinker who is excited to join a company entering a phase of hyper-growth.

To be successful you'll need to operate effectively as part of a smaller company, within a broader multi-brand and matrixed organization. Building relationships and trust throughout the entire organization is critical.

Requirements/Qualifications

  • Education Level: Bachelor's degree required Experience Level: 3-5 years relevant professional experience; Experience in healthcare services and/or multi-site retail is a plus
  • Experience working on and driving highly visible, highly impactful cross-functional projects Must be intellectually curious, inquisitive, thoughtful, and a good listener
  • Must demonstrate critical thinking skills with an ability to creatively develop varied solution sets to multi-dimensional problems Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task several complex projects with the flexibility to be proactive in a fast pace, ever changing environment
  • Resourceful and motivated self-starter
  • Highly proficient in Excel and PowerPoint Presentation & Communication skills: must be able to (i) communicate (both written and oral) in a clear, concise, articulate fashion and (ii) when presenting work, demonstrate clear, concise articulation of proposed actions, illustrating opportunity, alternatives, considerations, recommendations, and associated economics
