Rick's Seafood, a leading name in seafood distribution, is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Office Assistant to join our team. This role ensures smooth day-to-day office operations while supporting the company's commitment to providing the freshest seafood to our customers.
Responsibilities:
Administrative Support: Perform general clerical duties, including answering phones, responding to emails, and maintaining files.
Order Processing: Accurately process customer orders, coordinate with the warehouse team, and ensure timely delivery schedules.
Accounts Management: Assist with accounts payable and receivable tasks, including invoicing and payment tracking.
Inventory Coordination: Update and maintain records of inventory and assist with supply orders when needed.
Customer Interaction: Provide professional and friendly support to customers and vendors via phone and email.
Record Keeping: Maintain and organize company records and assist with data entry tasks.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree preferred.
Previous experience in an administrative or office assistant role is a plus.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Attention to detail and accuracy in work.
Familiarity with QuickBooks or similar accounting software is a plus.
Work Environment:
Office setting with occasional coordination with warehouse staff.
Monday through Friday schedule, with some flexibility based on business needs.
