Job Description:

We are a luxury Mercedes franchise dealership located in beautiful Flagstaff, AZ that is seeking a motivated, energetic, team player to join our team in the position of Service Manager. The role encompasses oversight of all service operations, ensuring customer satisfaction is maximized, departmental goals are met, and financial objectives are achieved. The Service Manager must demonstrate exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and extensive knowledge of automotive service management.

Service Manager Job Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement long-term strategic plans for the service department.
  • Set performance goals and objectives aligned with the company's mission and vision.
  • Monitor industry trends and adjust strategies to maintain competitive advantage.
  • Lead and motivate the service team
  • Foster a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Ensure effective communication and collaboration within the department and with other departments.
  • Design and implement strategies to enhance customer service experience.
  • Address high-level customer concerns and implement solutions to improve satisfaction.
  • Monitor customer feedback and implement changes to improve service quality.
  • Ensure the efficient and effective operation of the service department.
  • Optimize processes and systems to improve efficiency and service quality.
  • Maintain accurate work in process versus open repair orders.
  • Promote a culture of safety and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
  • Conduct regular audits and reviews to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
  • Maintain a clean and organized service department including the shop, parking, and customer service areas.
  • Identify talent needs and oversee the recruitment, training, and development of service department personnel.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to drive employee growth.
  • Oversee warranty claim submissions and ensure timely reimbursement.
  • Maintain accurate warranty records and documentation to ensure factory compliance.

Ideal Candidate:
  • 2+years luxury franchise dealership experience as a Fixed Operations Director, Service Manager, Assistant Service Manager or Service Drive Manager.
  • Experience with CDK DMS System and XTIME is a plus.
  • Proactive management style with great analytical skills and the ability to develop & implement effective processes to achieve department profit and efficiency goals.
  • Strong people skills to effectively supervise & manage a team.
  • Excellent customer service skills & a proven track record of focusing on achieving high CSI at or above company standards.
  • Proven experience in automotive service management or a similar role is preferred.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair and maintenance.
  • Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
