Douron is seeking assistance in the Accounting department with collections, tax preparations, and backup to other functions in the department.
II. POSITION EXPECTATIONS
Performs daily collections functions, including maintaining accurate accounts of unpaid invoices and current balances due.
Contacts clients regarding collections concerns in a professional and helpful manner.
Reviews weekly aging report and determines collectability of accounts; facilitates communication with collections companies as applicable
Identifies problematic accounts and takes initiative to collect payment quickly
Effectively communicates collections status with Accounting management
Prepares monthly sales tax submissions and bank reconciliations
Provides backup to the department for other accounting functions as needed, including reconciling and collecting AR accounts and managing and correctly paying AP accounts
Covers credit limit increase requests as needed
Monitors accounting emails and phones and responds to inquiries in a timely manner
Processes customer credit card payments and covers other cash-posting duties as needed
Processes collections and adjustments with an understanding of GL accounting and attention to detail
Manages and uploads statements to customer platforms
Completes credit reference requests
Maintains customer confidence and protects operations by keeping information confidential
Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with policies, procedures, and regulations
Other duties as assigned

IV. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS
Education, Certifications and /or Licenses:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred
Experience:
1 year’s experience in accounts receivable or collections preferred
Knowledge/Skills:
Proficiency with PCs and basic computer software, including MS Office Suite
Proficiency with basic business math skills
Excellent presentation, listening, verbal, and written communication skills
Ability to work independently or collaboratively within a team; willingness to roll up sleeves and help the team
Ability to manage and organize time to meet objectives and deadlines

VI. WORKING CONDITIONS AND ENVIRONMENT
This position primarily works in an indoor office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually low to moderate.
VII. COMPENSATION
Wage range: $20.00 – 22.00 per hour, paid on a biweekly basis
