Job Description:
Location: South Elgin, IL

Description:
Objective: Conduct mechanical and electrical maintenance and repairs on production machinery and facility support equipment.
Duties:
- Identify and fix electrical and mechanical issues on production lines.
- Rebuild, replace, or repair major components, assemblies, and systems.
- Inspect electrical components during and after installation.
- Use wiring diagrams to troubleshoot electrical problems in AC and DC circuits, motor controls, 480V and lower voltage systems, etc.
- Calibrate industrial instrumentation and controls.
- Test electronics for issues and suggest solutions.
- Interpret and implement designs from technical drawings.
- Interact with and direct contractors.
- Utilize skills for conduit bending, wire pulling, etc.
- Perform routine maintenance and preventive care.
- Maintain accurate and updated preventive maintenance records.
- Follow all safety requirements, including preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions.
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience troubleshooting electronics and electrical circuits.
- Working knowledge of electronics and electrical theory.
- Ability to develop, calculate, and read electrical schematics.
- Trade school or college education is a plus.
- NFPA 70e training is a plus.
- Experience with PLCs and Allen Bradley HMIs is a plus.
- Physically able to stand, sit, move, squat, and walk during the shift.
- Physically able to lift at least 50 pounds.
- Ability to climb ladders.
- Intermediate knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Experience with maintenance tracking software is a plus.
- Experience with PLC Allen Bradley is a plus.
- Experience with efficiency tracking software is a plus.
- Experience with servo motors and drives is a plus.
- Experience with vision systems is a plus.
