Job Description:

The Claims Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations, managing a team, and ensuring efficient and effective workflow. This role involves monitoring performance, implementing process improvements, and ensuring the team meets both productivity and quality goals. The supervisor will also problem-solve, develop their team, and ensure compliance with company policy and industry regulations. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, operational knowledge, and the ability to drive improvement in a dynamic environment.

Essential Functions:


  • Oversees daily operations for a team of 17-20+ claim processors, ensuring consistent workflows and high-quality outcomes

  • Utilizes Cigna's Enterprise Management Operating System (eMOS) to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), to track metrics, and manage team performance

  • Coaches team members to balance quality and productivity, with a focus on accuracy and continuous improvement

  • Works closely with capacity planners and resource management to ensure staffing levels meet both operational and customer expectations

  • Proactively removes barriers for the team, leading change to drive efficiency and improvement across processes

  • Tailors communication to effectively support a virtual environment, keeping team members motivated and aligned with organizational goals

  • Collaborates with HR and matrix partners on people-related initiatives, compliance, and development, fostering a diverse and inclusive team culture

Qualifications:


  • High School Diploma or equivalent required, bachelor's degree preferred

  • 1+ years' experience in a supervisory or managerial position within an operations-focused environment required

  • Experience collaborating with Global Service Partners preferred

  • Proven ability to lead and motivate teams, manage performance, and provide coaching and development

  • Expertise in identifying inefficiencies and implementing process improvements

  • Strong understanding of operational processes, key performance indicators (KPIs), and the ability to analyze data to drive decision-making

  • Ability to troubleshoot issues, resolve conflicts, and make decisions quickly and effectively

  • Familiarity with operational software and tools, with ability to learn and adapt to new technology quickly

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 53,600 - 89,300 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
