Here’s What You’ll Get To Do   

• Work from preliminary engineering designs or shop drawings to develop aluminum extrusion designs and supporting die drawings.


• Ensure proper mating and alignment of interconnected extrusions and consistency with existing product designs and proper extrusion practices.


• Work with the extruding facilities to purchase dies after a review and approval process – must be comfortable talking to small groups.


• Generate die drawings following industry/company standards and distribute to the affected departments.


• Assist other departments/facilities with existing or new extrusion designs to meet their needs.


• All extrusion drawings to be developed on AutoCAD in the existing format and maintained in a database accessible to other departments/facilities.


• Work overtime hours as necessary to maintain schedules and meet performance goals.

Here’s What We’re Looking For    

• A minimum two years technical degree in drafting and design.


• 2 years experience as an AutoCAD Technician preferred.


• Proficient with the use of AutoCAD.


• Training and experience with AutoDesk Inventor preferred.


• Strong math skills and understanding of trigonometry.


• Ability to read and understand architectural drawings.


• Familiarity with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Teams


• Ability to communicate effectively with customers, engineering, sales and other internal departments.

Physical Requirements:

• Stand and walk for entire shift on concrete, up to 8-10 hours


• Visual acuity to inspect material for various quality flaws and surface discrepancies


• Properly wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
