Gather and review timesheets from healthcare professionals, verifying hours worked, job assignments, and any applicable overtime or special pay rates.
Payroll Calculation:
Accurately calculate pay based on hourly rates, per diem rates, bonuses, commissions, and any applicable deductions (taxes, health insurance, retirement contributions).
Payroll System Management:
Input payroll data into the agency's payroll system, ensuring accurate data entry and timely processing.
Compliance Management:
Stay updated on federal and state payroll regulations, including wage and hour laws, to ensure compliance with all applicable requirements.
Discrepancy Resolution:
Investigate and resolve any payroll discrepancies or issues raised by healthcare providers, including discrepancies with hours worked, pay rates, or deductions.
Reporting and Analysis:
Generate payroll reports for management, including summaries of earnings, deductions, taxes, and other relevant data.
Communication with Staff:
Respond to payroll inquiries from healthcare professionals regarding paystubs, deductions, or other payroll-related questions.
New Hire Onboarding:
Assist with the onboarding process for new healthcare workers by collecting necessary payroll information and setting up deductions.
Data Maintenance:
Update employee payroll records with any changes in personal information, tax withholding status, or benefit elections.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
Strong attention to detail and accuracy with numbers
Proficiency with payroll software and data entry systems
Understanding of payroll regulations and compliance requirements
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills to address payroll inquiries
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
Experience in healthcare staffing or related industry is a plus
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business or accounting preferred
Proven experience in a payroll position in a fast-paced environment required
Strong knowledge of tax and wage laws
Good understanding of the common fiscal procedures
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong computer literacy including Microsoft Office applications
Exceptional multitasking and organizational skills
Able to work effectively with minimal supervision
Physically able to work seated in front of a computer for long hours at a time
Education: Bachelor’s degree in business or accounting preferred.
Experience: Minimum of 1 years’ related experience.
