TITLE: Closure Manufacturing Specialist
REPORTS TO: Plant Manager, Maintenance Manager, or Operations Manager
BASIC FUNCTION: The Closure Manufacturing Specialist primary role is coordinating with SEC closure customers by providing technical support with capping equipment. This role also oversees compression-molding processes within SEC plant facilities to ensure safe, quality and efficient manufacturing operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Travel to customer facilities to oversee line trials and qualification testing. Work closely with SEC Quality Manager in resolving capping and closure issues. Troubleshoot and provide technical support for customers' capper equipment, including proper setup and operation of feed systems, orienters, chucks, and other components.
Ensure products meet applicable quality standards. Diagnose and resolve issues related to molding defects, determining root causes and implementing effective solutions. Work on reducing scrap and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives related to compression molding.
Assist with configuring full closure line setups involving multiple pieces of equipment. Support equipment installations, training programs, and start-up activities within the plant. Provide technical support and guidance to plant personnel on all aspects of closure equipment operation and maintenance.
Keep the Operations Manager and General Manager informed of any concerns or issues regarding compression molding systems, and formulate mitigation plans as needed.
Maintain thorough and accurate documentation, including operation logs, batch records, and other compliance-related records. Ensure strict adherence to company policies, procedures, GMPs, ethical business practices, and SOPs.
Perform other tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Manager, Operations Manager, or General Manager. Comply with all activities related to product safety, legality, regulatory compliance, and quality.
