Vertiv is seeking a highly skilled and dynamic Senior Director, Finance Transformation to join our team. As the Senior Director, Finance Transformation, you will lead the development and execution of a strategy that delivers data standardization and reporting and the harmonization of systems, tools and processes across the enterprise. This position requires a combination of financial acumen, communication and collaboration skills, change management leadership and strategic thinking to effectively deliver results over time.
This position will be in office at our HQ's located in Westerville, Ohio and will report to our VP, Finance Operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead the development and implementation of the finance transformation strategy, in alignment with the CFO and organization's overall objectives and goals.
Lead the data transformation efforts the organization is embarking on which are focused on developing common financial standards globally and establishing a new data governance model.
Collaborate with IT to design and develop a data layer that sits between ERPs and consolidation software that enables global standard reporting and analysis capabilities across the organization. This is a key enabler to drive more centralized reporting & analysis support for the global teams.
Collaborate with senior finance leadership and key stakeholders to identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and optimization within the finance function.
Assess current finance processes, systems, and controls to identify areas for enhancement and standardization.
Develop and oversee our multi-year transformation program roadmap that will enable the finance function to stay in line with market trends and evolve.
Define data-driven frameworks and processes to identify, measure, and manage program success focusing on business value.
Deep dive into specific "hot topics" when required and articulate the issues in a succinct, data backed way, including offering options for solutions.
Partner with IT and other functional areas to integrate finance systems and technologies, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability.
Identify, scope, and prioritize projects based on business needs. Prepare resultant business cases and project plans ensuring alignment with project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Prepare Board level presentations across any of the finance transformation topic and ad hoc topics when required.
Stay informed about emerging trends, best practices, and technologies in finance and transformational change management, and incorporate relevant insights into strategy and execution.
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or similar discipline.
15+ years' experience in finance management and transformation overseeing large-scale, complex cross-functional programs.
Systems experience with large ERP applications (e.g., Oracle, SAP).
Strong experience with systems implementation and change management.
Specific experience leading a transformation effort around developing common financial standards and driving data governance and standardization across a large, global company.
Proven ability to work with diverse stakeholders, manage competing agendas and priorities, and translate complex information across functions.
High initiative and a self-starter who operates with a sense of urgency and is highly process- driven and detail-oriented.
Practical, results-oriented team builder with superior project management, and problem-solving skills.
Advanced Excel and analytical skills including experience developing financial models for business forecasting desired.
