BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Java Application Developer in
Columbus OH/ Austin TX!
Position Title: Java Application Developer
Location: Columbus OH/ Austin TX
Anticipated Start Date: 10th Dec 2024

Expected Duration: 4 Months with Potential Extension or can be converted to a fulltime employment.
Job Type: FULL TIME (>=40 HRS WEEKLY), [CONTRACT], [HYBRID]
Pay Range: $40.00/HR. to $42.85/HR.
Please note that actual compensation may vary within this range due to factors such as location, experience, and job responsibilities, and does not encompass additional non-standard compensation (e.g., benefits, paid time off, per diem, etc.).
Must Have Skills:
- Must-have skills for this role Java, J2EE, MVC, Oracle SQL, Spring Hibernate and JUnit.
- Years of experience required for each skill: Minimum of 3 years each and at least 1 project implementation
Job Description:
- As an Application Developer, you will be responsible for designing, building, and configuring applications to meet business process and application requirements.
- You will be expected to perform independently and become a Subject Matter Expert (SME).
- Additionally, you will be required to actively participate and contribute to team discussions, as well as provide solutions to work-related problems.
- Intermediate proficiency in Java is required.
- Intermediate proficiency in JavaScript, Java Persistence API (JPA), Hibernate ORM, Java EE Development, and Oracle SQL are recommended.
- Develop innovative solutions to enhance application functionality
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements
- Perform code reviews and provide constructive feedback
- Troubleshoot and debug application issues
- Stay updated with emerging technologies and industry trends
- Java/J2EE developer with prior experience in at least one project implementation.
- Having strong code/design skills in OOPS concepts.
- Should be able to code using Java 1.6 and upwards, should be well versed in Spring Batch, Eclipse IDE, Linux, Oracle SQL.
- Should have a strong hold of Unit testing/JUnit/ Assembly testing and Integration testing.
- In addition, we should have good hands-on exposure to development using WebLogic app server including, webservices and batch/ interface.
