Summary:
As the Delivery Lead, you will oversee the successful delivery of complex software projects, leveraging technologies such as AWS, NodeJS, GitHub, MongoDB and React. Your role will involve ensuring high-quality software delivery, collaborating with internal and offshore teams, and providing strategic direction in the development of our SaaS product. Ability to work with clients and knowledge of the insurance domain is a plus, as we are building solutions that cater to the unique needs of the industry.
Key Responsibilities:
SaaS Product Delivery: Lead the end-to-end delivery of SaaS products, ensuring on-time, high-quality releases that meet customer expectations and business requirements
Tech Stack Leadership: Oversee and guide the application of technologies like AWS, NodeJS, GitHub, MongoDB and React in product development. Ensure best practices are followed for CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, data management, and application performance
Independent Project Management: You will work independently with minimal supervision, managing multiple priorities and projects concurrently; You'll be expected to demonstrate ownership of the delivery process, ensuring projects are executed efficiently and effectively
Team Leadership & Mentorship: Lead and mentor the engineering team, fostering a collaborative, innovative, and accountable culture; Guide developers on best practices, coding standards, and problem-solving approaches
Continuous Improvement: Evaluate delivery processes, technologies, and tools regularly to identify opportunities for optimization and continuous improvement; Lead initiatives to adopt new tools or practices that can improve team productivity and software quality
Domain Knowledge (Insurance): Leverage knowledge of the insurance domain to understand customer needs and ensure the product is designed to address industry-specific challenges
REQUIREMENTS:
5+ years of experience in software development, with at least 3 years in a leadership or delivery management role
Demonstrated experience in delivering SaaS products and features from start to finish
Proven experience working with offshore or distributed teams
Strong background in using the following technologies: Jenkins, AWS, NodeJS, GitHub, MongoDB, and React
Knowledge of building effective team structures, identifying gaps and building teams to support growth
Ability to manage deliver and contribute to building requirements
Microservices architecture
Technical Expertise:
Managing Jira boards and Confluence documentation
Deep understanding of CI/CD pipeline management and automation; Ability to layout clear paths and lead effective deployment strategies
Expertise in architecting cloud solutions on AWS, with a focus on scalability, security, and performance
Experience with Node.js and React, including performance optimization, asynchronous programming, and building scalable web applications
Proficient in managing MongoDB and ensuring the scalability and performance of NoSQL databases
Experience working with version control and code collaboration tools like GitHub
Leadership & Communication Skills:
Strong leadership presence and abilities to keep engineers focused on objectives
Experience managing and mentoring cross-functional teams
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders and vice versa
Ability to work independently and manage complex projects with minimal supervision
Domain Knowledge (Insurance):
Familiarity with the property & casualty insurance industry is a plus; Ability to understand domain-specific challenges and deliver solutions that meet the unique needs of insurance customers
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
