Job Description:

This is a long term, consulting opportunity for an experienced VMware Administrator or Engineer to work on various projects as well as the support of VMware for a well-established enterprise organization. Other duties will focus on installation, configuration, tuning and troubleshooting of VMware vSphere enterprise environment. The ideal candidate would also have strong knowledge and experience supporting Active Directory and Azure IAAS. Required Skills:

• 5+ years of experience with VMware administration and engineering


• Must have experience with direct management of VMware virtualization platform comprised of VMware vSphere infrastructure including support, maintenance, configuration, troubleshooting and build experience


• Must have experience with VMware vSphere 4.x and 5.x (including vCenter, Update Manager, Converter, VCB, View, and Site Recovery Manager products)


• Experience supporting Azure IAAS


• Working knowledge of troubleshooting issues on ESXi 4.x/5.x is required


• Experience using command line tools


• Must have a good comfort level with Powershell (PowerCLI) and/or Perl (vSphereCLI) scripting environments for automation and configuration management


• Experience opening and managing support requests with VMware required


• Must have strong verbal and written communication skills

Desired Skills:

• Cisco UCS experience or knowledge a plus


• Azure AD and/or Azure Entra ID experience a plus
