Join our team of competent and compassionate professionals as a Young Adult Peer Mentor in the IHBTC program at Behavioral Health Network!
Your experience, knowledge and great skills will support the Intensive Home-Based Therapeutic Care program with the following:
- Engaging youth in activities that are designed to address one or more goals on the youth's treatment plan.
- Transporting and engaging youth in community activities
- Teaching youth how to navigate community systems and self-advocate.
- Fostering empowerment and linking youth to support and self-help groups.
- Supporting families and individuals from a variety of different cultural backgrounds
- Completing paperwork related to service is high quality and timely.
- Working effectively as a team member.
- Using supervision and training to enhance job performance and knowledge.
- Demonstrating problem solving ability under changing conditions
- Engaging youth in a strength-based relationship .

What are we looking for in a Young Adult Peer Mentor?
Qualifications/ Requirements
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Experience working with children/adolescents/transition age youth (preferred).
- Must have a valid Massachusetts driver's license and automobile available during working hours.
- Must have familiarity with internet, word processing and email systems.
- Personal experience as consumer in child serving mental health systems.
