Join our team of competent and compassionate professionals as a Young Adult Peer Mentor in the IHBTC program at Behavioral Health Network!




Your experience, knowledge and great skills will support the Intensive Home-Based Therapeutic Care program with the following:





  • Engaging youth in activities that are designed to address one or more goals on the youth's treatment plan.




  • Transporting and engaging youth in community activities




  • Teaching youth how to navigate community systems and self-advocate.




  • Fostering empowerment and linking youth to support and self-help groups.




  • Supporting families and individuals from a variety of different cultural backgrounds




  • Completing paperwork related to service is high quality and timely.




  • Working effectively as a team member.




  • Using supervision and training to enhance job performance and knowledge.




  • Demonstrating problem solving ability under changing conditions




  • Engaging youth in a strength-based relationship .

What are we looking for in a Young Adult Peer Mentor?

Qualifications/ Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • Experience working with children/adolescents/transition age youth (preferred).

  • Must have a valid Massachusetts driver's license and automobile available during working hours.

  • Must have familiarity with internet, word processing and email systems.

  • Personal experience as consumer in child serving mental health systems.
