Sourcing a motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join the finance team at a leading telecommunications firm in downtown Los Angeles. This hybrid position offers flexibility to work both remotely and in-office. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in accounting, a strong understanding of financial reporting and accounting principles, and the ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform general accounting functions, including accounts payable and receivable, journal entries, and bank reconciliations.
Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Prepare and maintain account reconciliations, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Support the month-end and year-end closing processes, including preparing necessary reports and entries.
Review and verify the accuracy of financial data and ensure compliance with company policies and generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and variance analyses to support management's decision-making.
Monitor and track fixed assets, depreciation schedules, and other relevant accounting records.
Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation and explanations as required.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure financial processes and records are properly maintained and aligned with company goals.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and assist in implementing efficiency-driven solutions.
Qualifications:
3+ years of accounting experience, preferably within the telecommunications or technology industry.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Strong understanding of GAAP and accounting principles.
Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, QuickBooks, SAP) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Excellent attention to detail with the ability to work accurately under tight deadlines.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Experience with financial reporting and reconciliations.
