Job Details:

SUMMARY: This position is responsible for supervising and coordinating activities of workers engaged in the hatching pulling vaccinating and egg handling of Cobb eggs and chicks. The essential functions of this positions are as follows: Accuracy and compliance of customer egg packing shipments; certified embrex trainer and vaccine mixer; insure quality and effectiveness of hatchery sanitation; general understanding of hatchery maintenance; perform duties of daily farm egg in out flow and egg depot responsibilities; perform duties to insure customer order accuracy and quality; supervises bio-security procedures and performs steps necessary to maintain bio-security; Performs and or supervises routine quality procedures; and Interprets company policies to team members and supports safety programs and training. REQUIREMENTS: Experience: College degree or equivalent experience with limited experience Accountability Role: Entry-level professional position responsible for supervising an individual or small group of non-exempt TMs i.e. - clerical administrative and production ; includes providing training monitoring work quality coaching TMs on performance; responsible for the quality of results produced by the team. Can work independently with the ability to evaluate alternatives under circumstances that are not covered by written procedures. Computer Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office. Must be able to write reports business correspondence and procedure manuals using available computer programs. Travel: Four 4 plus domestic trips per year. Supervisory: A team of approximately 10 plus hourly team members. Biosecurity: The jobsite is a biosecurity environment which requires showering before entering the facility and could require multiple showers during the work day. Appropriate clothing and footwear is provided by the Company. No jewelry may be worn on the jobsite except for medical ID jewelry. Must be willing to sign an agreement to avoid any avian species chickens ducks birds . The Company Animal Welfare Policy must be followed at all times. Physical: Must use safe lifting techniques. While performing the duties of this job the team member is regularly required to stand walk sit use hands to finger handle or feel objects tools or controls; reach with hands and arms balance stoop talk or hear. The team member must occasionally lift and or move up to 25 pounds. Personal Protective Equipment Required: Team Member is expected to follow the required safety procedures and wear the required personal protective equipment.
