Munters Data Center Cooling Technologies Division specializes in cooling systems that minimize energy usage for high performance computing.
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled CAD Designer to help develop our next generation of advanced Data Center Cooling Products. Designers interpret job requirements and develop CAD models that meet customer needs for performance, cost, and maintainability.
Essential Functions:
- Generates CAD models, drawings, parts lists, and assembly drawings for Munters products.
- Supports new product development with conceptual designs and layouts, as needed.
- Develops and maintains parts lists for new products.
- Participates in Kaizan and other cross functional teams to improve designs
- Supports continuous improvement and cost reduction activities through the ECO process
- Provides engineering expertise and/or support to other departments as needed.
- Assists in prototype builds to understand and improve the designs.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
- 3D CAD Experience
- Ability to work on large scale projects and provide comprehensive documentation
- Effective communication skills, both written and oral
- Ability to successfully plan work to meet deadlines
Desired Job Qualifications:
- Experience with designing sheet metal, piping, electrical, and assemblies.
- Familiarity with HVAC components.
- Design for manufacturing ( DFM)
- Experience with Solidworks
- 3-5 years' industry experience with Associates degree, or equivalent experience
