We're looking for a Warehouse Supervisor for our new 1.3M sq ft foot Distribution Center in Marysville, OH! The DC services internal and external customers, ensuring raw materials and finished goods are distributed on time and at the lowest possible cost.
This is a 1st Shift opportunity (7:00 am - 3:00 pm)
If you enjoy a fast-paced, high energy and seasonal manufacturing environment then you will fit in well as a Warehouse Supervisor for Scotts Miracle-Gro. On a day-to-day basis you are responsible for all aspects of loading and unloading trucks and warehousing products produced from our production plants.
In this role you will:
Lead shift operations within the Marysville Distribution Center.
Ensure the customer shipping schedule is obtained and review the following shifts and lend help as needed.
Direct our distribution associates to ensure inventory accuracy and compliance.
Work with the packaging department to produce great product quality as well as ensure 100% packaging uptime associated with the distribution center.
Utilize SAP to monitor inventory and quality; make adjustments when required.
Train and develop associates in surge and loading procedures as well as customer specific requirements.
Train and enforce Scotts Miracle-Gro policies and procedures.
Ensure a safe and compliant work area.
Monitor and order services or supplies as needed.
Manage overtime requirements based on manpower needs that are balanced by the budget.
Work with the returns coordinator on processing returned products.
Set and maintain high standards of housekeeping.
What you will need to be successful:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration or related study preferred.
At least 5 years experience in warehouse supervision or supervision in a production environment.
Basic understanding of distribution, transportation, inventory control, and freight routing.
Computer skills including, but not limited to, Google Suite, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Access.
Strong leadership skills and a highly effective communicator with great time management.
The ability to adapt to flexible work schedules and/or hours within a seasonal business. Including weekends during our busy season.
Strong administrative and planning skills.
SAP experience is preferred.
The starting budgeted pay range for this role will generally fall between $75,000.00 - $88,200.00 per year. Scotts will consider various factors in determining the actual pay including your skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location.
